Title: Delga Training Course
Subject: “The Basics on Gas Springs and their Use”

In 05/31 and 06/01/2007, the “The Basics on Gas springs and their use” training course was held at the Ferraz de Vasconcelos Unit, by Arcinco/ Kaller. This training course aims to present technical comparisons between gas springs and mechanical springs, new products in the market, how to use this technology in our daily work, assembly and disassembly of nitrogen cylinders, how to feed and calibrate them, and mainly, guidelines on safety aspects on handling and usage of cylinders and their peripherals.

The Ferraz de Vasconcelos Unit, concerned to qualify, provide skills and update the professionals, is looking for partnerships with some suppliers to hold a training course oriented to the needs of their areas, with low or no cost. Francisco Ricardo Gomes, Engineering & Tool Store Manager and Edelson Félix, Tool Store Supervisor, were working hard to make this project possible.

“This type of partnership is possible and brings advantages, both for Delga and for suppliers. Because, for Delga, besides preparing the collaborators to work in a more effective manner in their activities, it contributes as a motivation to improve the organizational climate within the company. And, for the partner suppliers, it generates opportunities to present their products”, says Francisco Ricardo Gomes. 48 professionals from the areas of tooling, engineering, maintenance, preparers and leaders of the production area have received this training.

By analyzing post-training assessment and after the participation of some employees, we could see that the acceptance was positive. Our work colleagues were feeling motivated and grateful to be participating in the meeting and supported the realization of new training programs.
